About Us

The doctoral program in Chemical Physics trains students to apply the methods of physics to understand chemical behavior. The curriculum includes both chemistry and physics graduate courses. Chemical Physics students also participate in a Frontiers in Chemical Physics course in which they work closely with visiting scholars who are leaders in the field.

Thirty faculty from Physics, Chemistry, Astronomy, Pharmacy and Engineering Departments are members of the Chemical Physics Faculty. Our faculty members are doing innovative work on all of the atomic and molecular properties of matter, our facilities are comprehensive, and our research environment is challenging. These qualities combine to make Ohio State's program in chemical physics one of your best choices as you seek the training and skills necessary to succeed as a scientist
